How does it all work?Let me tell you about the process to get your website performing again.
1. Let's get to know eachother
To begin with, we start with a discovery call or meeting. This is an opportunity for you to tell me about your customers, your current situation and your objectives.
I purposefully mentioned 'your customers' first for a good reason. Your website needs to be all about them and their needs. The more we know about them, the better your website will perform.
2. Clean, Accurate Data
Your Google Analytics (GA) account holds a wealth of information. There are two problems though:
- The data is likely to be wrong
- You're probably not recording all of the right information
You might think everything's ok, but trust me, this is an essential step. 99% of GA accounts have something wrong with them. Chances are yours is one of them. That's why I perform a thorough Google Analytics Health Check.
I look at every aspect of your GA account:
- The admin settings
- The data
- The code
- Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Together we go through the findings and make the necessary changes.
Understanding your objectives really helps at this stage too. By knowing the types of questions you need to answer, we can make sure the correct data is being collected in GA.
Depending on the extent of the issues, your traffic volume and seasonailty, we may need to wait a few months for the clean data to come in.
3. What's wrong with the website?
Hurrah, we have loads of clean, useful data!
Now we need to find out where the problems are on your website.
